Mustard Seed India Testimony

By Tabor Weissinger

First, I humbly thank all of you who have prayed for and donated time and money to our Mustard
Seed Faith Foundation (MSFFI). We cannot do God’s work without your support. I am especially
grateful to Pam, Roger, Fran, Neil and Jay for their hard work on our very successful fundraisers since the expansion plan.
I am often asked, “Why India? Why these children?” I can safely say that only the Holy Spirit could
have led me to this place. No past career stresses compare to the stress of knowing what will happen
to hundreds of ‘untouchable’ children without our rescuing them from unimaginable poverty. Nowhere else on earth are children doomed by the caste system into which they are born. In India, the caste system is mainly profession based. This system encourages untouchability and is the major cause for inhuman and immoral social practices such as child marriages, prostitution, human child trafficking, etc. Education is the only way out.
We have spoken to village people born in the lower castes, who told us a familiar story in their
culture. When a child is walking down the dirt path to gather food with his father, they drag a branch
from a bush behind them. The child asked, “Why dad?” His dad replied, “Well, son, we aren’t worthy
to leave foot prints in the dirt.” What do you think that child’s future will be like? And then we tell
them the Good News of Jesus, and, believe me, it is good news to them!
We teach children who have grown up with this mentality that their souls are just as valuable as the
Heads of State in India and that they are just as loved by God as anyone else on the planet. You can
watch the corner of their lips turn up ever so slightly and their eyes open wide while being told,
probably for the first time, that they are important and are loved just as much as anyone else. That, in a nutshell, is the Holy Spirit reaching their ears.
Please pray for guidance and for more people to join our MSFFI family. Please pray that the
budgets are met, so that we can get many more children off the streets and into the school. Please
help get the word out. God bless all of you who are already contributing!
Of course, not many people can go to the other side of the earth to work this mission. But, just as
importantly, all can contribute. This is the fuel needed for progress and growth. We have some great
donors, and now the new Child Sponsor Program is doing well. A tax deductible contribution of $35
per month will pay for a needy child to attend school, supplies and two sets of uniforms.
I plan on returning to India October 2nd and continuing the expansion plan. (MSFFI is a 501C-3
non-profit organization, started in Mississippi in 2012, and funded solely by personal donors.)
Expansion fundraising starting this year will grow our numbers from 100 to 300+ children.
Again, I am not going to India. We are going to India. “As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Nor can the head say to the feet, “I do not need
you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable….
(1 Corinthians 12:20,22)
Your gift of money is more important than the guy taking it. That’s what drives my mission. Your
prayers and/or your monthly pledge or one time gift makes you a missionary. You will be there with
me. When you see the blogs and website updates you can be humbled that this is your school and
these are your rescued children.
Bottom line folks, your participation will save souls….
God Bless,
Tabor
