Where did you grow up and how did you get to Bellwether?
I grew up in Jackson and went to college at Ole Miss. I came back to Jackson and ended up in Medical Sales for many years before coming to Bellwether.

What is your favorite pastime?
Outside of hanging with my wife and kids, I love to write and record music. I love to jam with the guys. It's a total release for me and in a crazy way it helps keep me sane. At least that's my excuse....

What is your favorite music?
I love all kinds of praise and worship music. Right now I'm really into Hillsong, Mercyme and Planetshakers along with some old Big Tent Revival. Outside of worship music I'm really into bands like Lucero, Drive By Truckers, Jason Isbell, MOFRO and Wilco. Then of course I'll always love Hendrix and Zeppelin. I'm a Mississippi boy and I've always loved the blues and songs that seem to have a blues influence. When I sit down and write music that's the sound that just always seems to come out. It's what's stuck in my brain I guess....

What is your favorite book?
Other than the Bible my favorite book is The Same Kind of Different as Me. I just finished reading it and I was really moved by it and I highly recommend it!!

What is your favorite thing about Bellwether?
The "realness" of it and how we do everything we can to "Raise Leaders who Raise Families who Raise the Kingdom." It's something you can feel and it's awesome!!

What is your favorite story in the Bible?
1 Samuel 14 "Jonathan Attacks the Phillistines." I love this story for three reasons. First, it shows me that with true faith in God we can do anything. Second, is the dedication of Jonathan to God as well as the armor-bearer's dedication to Jonathan. Third is the example of the power of teamwork. A good friend of mine is a rock climber and he loves this story for obvious reasons. We started talking about it one day and ever since that day I bet I've read that chapter a hundred times. Killer story! I love it!
